Pierre Manigault

Pierre Manigault

Chairman of the Board

Mr. Manigault began working in media/communications in 1987 as a photographer and editor of television news at KOAA (NBC) in Colorado Springs, Co. After working for the National Geographic Society and The Washington Post in Washington D.C., he returned home to Charleston in 1994 to join the family business at Evening Post Publishing Company as an editorial writer for The Post and Courier and later head of the company's newspaper division. In 2004, upon the death of his father, Peter Manigault, Mr. Pierre Manigault was named Chairman of the Board of Evening Post Publishing Company.
Mr. Manigault is a board director of the InterAmerican Press Association, a founding trustee and chairman of the American College of the Building Arts and a founder of the S.C. Maritime Foundation. He is also a member of the College of Charleston's School of Business Board of Governors, a trustee of the Middleton Place Foundation and a trustee of Magnolia Cemetery.

Mr. Manigault is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas and Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA. He lives downtown and has two daughters.

Edward Gilbreth

Vice Chairman of the Board

Dr. Gilbreth joined the Board of Directors in 1994 and was named Vice Chairman in 2002. He graduated with a BA in Business Administration from Rollins College in 1978 and from the MUSC College of Medicine in 1988. He has been in private practice since 1994.

John Barnwell

John Barnwell

President & CEO

John Barnwell joined the company in 2005 after a 25 year career in banking. He became CFO in 2007 and moved into his current role as CEO in 2009.

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia and earned a graduate degree in banking from Louisiana State University.

Mr. Barnwell is a lifelong resident of Charleston, SC, where he is engaged in various civic and charitable activities. He and his wife have two grown children.

Ronald Owens

Ronald C. Owens, CPA, CFA

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Owens began his career in 1986 and has over 25 years of financial experience. He joined the company in 2012 as Vice President of Finance and became CFO in 2014. He is also responsible for business diversification and acquisition. Prior to joining EP Industries, Mr. Owens served as the President of Kiawah Capital and as director for a high yield bond fund. Additionally, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Lowcountry Housing Trust.

Terrance Hurley

President, Cordillera Communications

Mr. Hurley joined the Company in 2000 as President of Cordillera Communications. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Hurley was Senior Vice-president of Benedek Broadcasting. He began his broadcasting career in 1981, and has served on the NBC affiliate board, the CBS advisory board and held numerous industry and trade positions.

PJ Browning

Ms. Browning joined the company in 2012. She serves as the President and Publisher of The Post and Courier, President of the Newspaper Division and Senior Vice President with EPI. She began her career in 1984 and has over 29 years of newspaper experience. Previously, Ms. Browning served as the President and Publisher of The Sun News in Myrtle Beach, SC; The Telegraph in Macon, GA; and the Centre Daily Times in State College, PA. She is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University.

Johnn Hyduke

John Hyduke

President, Clear Night Group

As President of EP Industries' marketing services division, Clear Night Group, Mr. Hyduke brings 13 years of experience in marketing services as well as a combined 10 years of experience within the Broadcast and Newspaper industry. He was previously a Senior Executive and Partner of Flint Holdings, where his responsibilities included operational oversight, business development and mergers & acquisitions.

Joe Waring

Joe Waring

Vice President, Evening Post Industries
Corporate Director of Human Resources

Mr. Waring joined Evening Post Industries in 2013 and was promoted to Corporate Director of Human Resources in 2016.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UNC-Chapel Hill as well as JD and MBA degrees from the University of South Carolina. He has also attained the Masters in Wealth Management designation from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.

Prior to joining EPI, Mr. Waring worked for various departments of the HSBC Group.
